Google Stadia Finally Gets a Wireless Controller for PC

While most expected this feature to be ready for release, Google finally has a wireless controller that will work on PC. The gamepad will be able to work without plugging a USB-C cable into a PC thanks to it using the built in wireless connectivity.

Google hasn’t released a new controller. The original Google Stadia controller has just been updated to finally make use of the built in wireless connection feature. This is now working for laptops and desktops, it just requires a Wi-Fi connection.

The official announcement post states that users will be able to link their Stadia Controller and Stadia.com through their Wi-Fi network to play without a USB-C cable. To see the full update post from the Stadia community website, click here.

The update also comes with another group of free games for Stadia Pro. The new free games are The Turing Test, Zombie Army 4: Dead War and SteamWorld Heist.
