Google Stadia is now available for some non-Pixel phones

Google announced last week that they were bringing Google Stadia to even more mobile phones to give greater access to their service. From February 20th, users would be able to stream games to their phone using the Google Stadia service.

The blog post about what phones are now compatible can be found here. It includes Samsung Galaxy S8 onwards, Razer Phone and also ASUS ROG Phone II. This means that Google Stadia can be accessed on more than 20 different Android phones now in addition to the Pixel 2, 3 and 4.

This is the first time Google Stadia will be available for devices not owned by Google. The free version of the app should be coming later this year along with Google Assistant support and Youtube Sharing.

Anyone currently with the Stadia Founder’s Edition, Stadia Premier Edition or a Stadia Buddy Pass can now access Google Stadia on those devices.
