Red Dead Redemption 2 Review

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a great release for those gamers who love playing action games. RDR 2 is an action-adventure game that was available for PS4, Xbox One players in 2018, while in 2019 PC users got the chance to play this game on their platform. The Stadia version was released around 2 weeks later.

The game is developed by a well-reputed video game publisher named Rockstar Games. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the third edition of the series that has many new features to offer. The game has made a great reputed in the gaming industry and has sold over 30 million copies to date.

Arthur Morgan is the main playable character in this latest title. He is a lieutenant, and an essential part of Van der Linde’s gang, and Dutch van is the leader of the group who loves personal freedom. Red Dead Redemption 2 features five significant states of the United States.

The West Elizabeth and New Austin were taken from the previous edition, while Lemoyne, New Hanover, and Ambarino are three new states in the title. Players have to complete different objectives to proceed in the story.

You may also take part in random events that you may find while exploring RDR 2 world. These events might include ride-by shootings, animal attacks, public executions, etc.

The game also provides players with a lot of choices. Some story missions grant players the option to admit or reject various tasks, which might cause a slight chance in the plot.

Gameplay

RDR stadia

RDR 2 is a Western-themed game which you can play as a third or first-person view. It is an open-world game that includes some parts of the Southern and Western United States.

The game allows you to experience single as well as multiplayer mode. However, the multiplayer is an online mode while you can play the single-player mode while remaining offline.

Players are given the role of Arthur Morgan – He is a part of a gang known as Van der Linde. You have to complete a variety of missions containing different objectives to progress.

As it is an open-world game, so you can freely roam and interact with other non-playable characters when not in the mission. At different stages of the game, you may encounter various enemies.

The game allows you the option to use explosives, firearms, throwables, and melee attacks to fight the enemies. RDR fans might see a lot of improvement in this title.

Unlike previous editions, Red Dead Redemption 2 has got a dual-wielding and a bow mechanics that were not available in its predecessors.

Besides this, now players also got the ability to swim. The game includes diverse landscapes containing wildlife, bandits, and travelers.  You might see a lot of horses in the game because they are the primary source of transportation.

Players can train wild horses and use them for transportation sources. However, to get ownership, you need to saddle the horse.

Story

In 1899, after an attack on a ferry, the civilization compelled Van der Linde gang to leave their money stash. The gang recognized that the civilization progress is shutting the door to outlaws, due to which they determine to obtain sufficient money to escape the situation and retire.

After that, Van der Linde gang decided to rob a train. Leviticus Cornwall was the owner of that train who hires Pinkertons, and Andrew Milton to grasps the thief. Arthur and the gang do many robberies in Valentine and other parts of the world.

Dutch, who was the gang leader, ensure before each robbery that the following robbery will be their final one. The game story revolves around Arthur, who is the main character, and the Van der Linde gang.

Graphics

RDR best on Stadia

Red Dead Redemption 2 has not disappointed its fans in terms of graphics. The graphics are exceptional. RDR 2 Stadia graphics are inline with the PC and Xbox One X releases with reasonable response times and improved loading times.

Thanks to the high definition graphics that make RDR 2 an impressive pick for gamers who prefer high quality graphics games. Though it doesn’t deliver all the graphical/performance promises made before it’s release on Stadia, it’s still a visually impressive game that looks great – especially on laptops and phones.

Apart from a visual presentation, audio is another thing to cheer about in RDR 2. I have played the game and didn’t find any significant flaws in terms of audio or visual. Players can also communicate with non-playable characters, and each character has a unique voice that is similar to the human voice.

Conclusion

Many gamers love playing Red Dead Redemption 2. The game has got all the things that players might want to experience in an action-adventure game.

It’s the latest title by Rockstar Games and is the third edition of the RDR series. Whether it be the visual or audio effects, everything seems excellent in Red Dead Redemption 2 for Google Stadia. The game offers both single as well as multiplayer mode. So you can play solo, or you can show your gaming skills to your friends through the multiplayer mode.
