Google Stadia has had a lot of trouble with the Apple iOS devices. First, the app was removed then a custom web browser called “Stadium” made to allow users to play Stadia was also removed. The creator of the Stadium browser is Zach Knox who has once again announced that it’s returning to iOS.
In a post on his website, Knox explains that Stadium 1.2 has been approved for the iOS App Store and that he’s fixed the cause of the issue. The blog post here also explains how to use Stadia using the browser and how to get controllers to work. Sadly, there may be a problem with Bluetooth controllers since iOS doesn’t seem to always react well to the Gamepad API. A Stadia controller bypasses the Bluetooth system and should work perfectly fine.
The Stadium web browser is not an official product from Google. This is a fan-made project to allow iOS users to access the Google Stadia platform while the company works on an official solution.
