El Hijo – A Wild West Tale Review

El Hijo – A Wild West Tale is a very interesting, different game than what you would normally find on the market. This game seamlessly combines strategy, stealth, exploration and a variety of other genres in a creative and fun manner. As a western game, it brings us to times gone by, and it stands out quite a bit with its interesting story tone and some creative gameplay choices.

The main idea here is that you guide a 6 year old boy on his quest to find his mother. You don’t know where she is, if she was kidnapped or not, so you have a child’s perspective in the Wild West. This is certainly a very creative and interesting game. Since you are in the Wild West, everything is dangerous for a child like you. Which is why you need to do everything you can and use stealth in order to get past enemies and reach your goals.

You will explore a lot of places, like deserts, frontier towns, a remote monastery and many others. That means you will have a lot of different challenges coming your way, and you must do everything you can in order to win. That’s not easy, but it will be well worth the effort. You will be quite amazed with the gameplay mechanics and unique ideas being brought to the table.

The gameplay evolves naturally, as you will encounter new situations and you must adapt to them. The environments become more and more dangerous, so you will need to use your slingshot and your skills in order to stay alive. That’s the beauty of the game, the fact that you get to adapt and try out new things, while taking the experience to the next level in an empowering and engaging manner.

Merging with the shadows is mandatory in a game like this, since you are constantly facing the unknown. That’s why stealth is a very important part of the game, and you need to do everything you can in order to implement it wisely and in an appropriate manner. Once you do that, you will find it very creative and engaging. Plus, it will give you new ways to explore and adapt to the regions at hand.

El Hijo – A Wild West Tale also has quite a lot of puzzles. They aren’t super hard to complete, but usually they involve manipulating the environment in a very interesting way. With that being said, the storyline does manage to improve quite a bit, and every puzzle you uncover gets you one step closer to the answers you are seeking.

As a whole, El Hijo – A Wild West Tale is a great adventure game with plenty of puzzles and exploration. It’s very creative, fun to play, and it certainly gives a new perspective on the Wild West. On top of that, you do have tactical toys you can use, there are lots of puzzles, and the story keeps you hooked. It’s certainly worth checking out if you like this type of games!
