Ever since Batman: Arkham Asylum was launched, we got a lot of great Batman games. The great thing is that the Batman: Arkham series has continued to grow and shine, and while Batman: Arkham Knight had technical problems at launch, it still manages to bring in a very interesting, unique story that you do not want to miss.
Editors note: Yeah we know this game isn’t on Stadia (technically), but is currently available in demo form via AT&T. Playing the demo made us go back to PC version for a full play-though and we thought we’d review it…
The story is quite immersive, we do get the Arkham Knight involved which does bring in some drama and challenges. While his identity is quite easy to figure out, the missions themselves are very well made and the story does follow through quite nicely. There are quite a lot of levels which involve the use of your Batmobile, but they become rather repetitive. Also, many missions just focus on hunting for clues and acquiring gadgets.
Despite the fact that the title can be repetitive in nature, you will still find Batman: Arkham Knight to be quite a lot of fun, since the amazing gameplay and fun combat is here. On top of that, the addition of some new elements makes Batman even better to control and his gadgets do come in handy quite a lot. It’s great to see how all these things come together, and the experience itself is very immersive and distinctive too.
The game world is bigger, there’s a lot more immersion, and you also get to meet some rather interesting characters. The DLC in this game is also great, although it does focus a lot on challenges. With that in mind, it does offer more content to play through and the same game quality is there as well.
Batman: Arkham Knight does focus a lot on deduction and logic. The Riddler’s puzzles are actual puzzles that can be difficult to figure out. So you really get to test yourself and try out new things, while also immersing yourself into the experience. Which is great, because the game has a lot of amazing things to offer. It’s certainly different, and you will find it to be very creative and immersive.
Granted, this is not the perfect Batman game, but it’s certainly close to that. It has lots of amazing things to do, it’s also very creative and filled with a vast range of innovative ideas. With that in mind, you can also avoid the story and just do side quests, which there are quite a lot of.
Sure, Batman: Arkham Knight can be repetitive at times, but it offers an amazing, beautiful world with amazing features and locations. The story is interesting, albeit predictable, but overall you are bound to have a very good time in this game. It’s one of those titles that you will always enjoy because it’s creative, and it does require you to test your skills, be it in combat, through puzzles and so on. There’s also a lot of high octane action sequences, all of which are masterfully created. That’s why it makes a lot of sense to check it out, and you will find it incredibly interesting!
If you’re an AT&T Wireless customer you can play it right now (demo)! Click here to start playing. This is basically white-label Google Stadia which unfortunately might be future of Google Stadia.
