9to5Google has revealed that the Stadia 2.16 update for Android has left some information behind. The coding has different strings attached to it which is how they’ve discovered a few interesting things.
Some of the new options found in the coding suggest that 4K, HDR, and 5.1 Surround Sound toggles are incoming. They seem to have something to do with adjusting streaming qualities for Android devices. It also looks like 4K streaming will be a separate thing to the data usage settings.
Other code additions include:
- Improving the Capture functions
- Text Chat and Messages
- Achievements List
- Stadia Pro discounts to be shown on the store even for non-pro members
- General Store improvements including Label Descriptions
There’s no way of knowing when any of these updates will be coming to Google Stadia or how many modifications will be made before they arrive. It’s a very good sign though that Google Stadia is moving in the right direction.
