Xbox One consoles will be getting a new Microsoft Edge browser upgrade soon. The web browser is currently available to members of the Xbox Alpha Skip Ahead program and comes with a huge benefit. The new Microsoft Edge browser makes it possible to run streaming services directly from the browser instead of needing an app.
Gamers will soon be able to use the web browser to stream all kinds of content. Most importantly, Google Stadia should be accessible thanks to this. It’s not an official release and Microsoft might put some kind of block in place in the future. Only a small number of Google Stadia users will own an Xbox as well which may mean Microsoft will let players access it through their console.
In addition to Google Stadia, Amazon Luna will also be accessible though modern Xbox consoles thanks to the browser upgrade. These are not official releases done in conjunction with Microsoft so there’s a chance this might not be around for very long.
