A leak has come from an attendee of the International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam. It comes from XDA Developers who saw a slide presented by Google showing their planned key upgrades for Android TV over the next two years.
Stadia fans will be most interested to hear what is planned for next year. Android TV will be getting support for Stadia through the use of a Chromecast Ultra. There is no other information on this right now since this has not been officially announced, the information comes from a leak.
Another piece of information from the XDA Developers leak is something listed as a “hero device” which is going to include next-gen smart home features. It seems to also involve Google Lens and Android 10’s Live Caption feature.
The incoming Stadia integration is the more interesting piece of information from the leak however, fans of Android will be pleased to know Google is moving towards Android 11. The next version of Android is expected to release at the end of 2020 or early 2021.
