Google Stadia is finally introducing a feature that will let users share their saved game states with other players using the platform. As an exclusive feature, users will be able to share their save game states with others using a URL link. This feature is being introduced slowly and so far is only available for several games.
Users can now share their saved game states for Hitman 3 and the Hitman World of Assassination trilogy. Not all games will be getting the State Share feature, only those designed to support it will be getting this. It’s also down to each developer to decide what gameplay elements will be carried forwards with the URL link. There’s no way to know which developers will make use of this new feature and what they will allow players to share through the Save State URL.
This feature can be accessed through the image/video function built into Stadia. Players can capture part of the game here which is then turned into a playable Saved Game State which can be shared with others.
