Stadia on Mobile

Google Stadia can now be streamed over Mobile Data

While streaming over mobile data has been included for a while as an experimental feature, it’s finally a fully supported one. Users are now able to stream games over 4G and 5G giving them a new option for mobile.

Google has reported that streaming games this way could use up to 2.7GB per hour which may or may not be a lot depending on what your mobile data plan is. Additionally, streaming in 4K to a desktop can use around 200GB per hour so this is considerably less overall. For those with a data cap from their provider, playing Stadia through mobile data will be impossible.

Having an unlimited data plan is a much better option for those looking to stream Stadia to their phones. Some service providers also hold the right to slow your data speeds during busy times or once you reach a hidden threshold. This means you might notice a decrease in game quality over time.
